No one is objective. I learned that when the critics of those of us who were advocates for South Sudan who had condemned us for using more "noise than nuance," suddenly had no problem with noise during Sudan's second genocide. Different president, different people group, different issue -- we are subjective in choosing that for which we will be passionate, and then we are subjective within that passion. I've come to believe that life is a lot less complicated than I once believed it to be. Like life, faith is complex, yes, intricate, yes, but not complicated, unless I choose to see it that way. Jesus said anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. That means being willing to abandon intellectual parlor games for the clarity of the Gospel. Oh yes, and I guess like all bloggers, I'm a pretentious twit who thinks that other people are terribly interested in what she has to say.
